We are more than halfway finished with construction of a new convenience store in Bessemer for Wadsworth Oil.
The 4,800 square-foot facility will be located at 2593 Morgan Road, just off Interstate 459 Exit 6 in Bessemer, Alabama. Jim Wadsworth and the team at Wadsworth Oil designed it as a replacement for the c-store currently in operation at that location. The current building, along with the existing tank and pipe, will be demolished once the new c-store is completed.
The new Shell convenience store will feature 10 double-stacked pumps out front and 20 fueling positions. The building will be dressed in a beautiful combination of block and stack stone, double the size of the current c-store. Inside will feature a large kitchen serving broasted chicken with sides, Hunts Bros. pizza, as well as multiple roller grills serving all types of hot dogs.
Combined with unique lighting and a footprint double the size of the current c-store, this new facility is certain to attract customers and serve the needs of the community. Construction should be complete by the end of the year.
