Description
The Service Technician has a wide variety of skills and will be able to work through difficult problems. This person installs, maintains & repairs fuel dispensers; submersible fuel pumps; service station site controllers; credit card readers; cash register consoles; pumping PCW; tank & line monitoring equipment; various other types of equipment found in service station and convenience gas stations.

  • Work in a safe manner
  • Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations.
  • Observes, analyzes, and determines action for service and repair of equipment.
  • Performs necessary repairs to correct analyzed situations in a professional and productive manner.
  • Performs repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment
  • Performs factory authorized modifications per specifications.
  • Responsible for maintaining tools required for performing the job effectively and safely.
  • Responsible for following customer’s safety and housekeeping guidelines when performing repairs at customer site.
  • Resolve warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors.
  • Perform service calls as needed on an after-hours basis
  • Perform break fix and preventative maintenance on service station electronics, computers, and the fuel dispensing systems, including electronic, plumbing and mechanical work.
  • Provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectation by ensuring that all assigned duties are completed in a cost-effective manner.
  • Perform required prerequisite work necessary to obtain and maintain certification from original equipment manufacturers.
  • Work with service project crew on service projects, assist lead technician(s) with the start-up, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Will be required to travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Must Have a valid Driver License and clear MVR
  • Familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
  • Gilbarco Dispenser certification and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification, preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.

Birmingham, AL – Construction

Description
The Construction Helper performs many tasks that require physical labor on construction sites. The Helper mainly assists the construction craft worker or electrician. They may carry tools and materials or help set up equipment. They can perform a wide range of tasks varying in complexity from very easy to extremely difficult and hazardous.

Job Duties:

  • Be able to spot and direct the heavy equipment operators, track hoe and loaders, from the ground during excavation operations.
  • Learn all aspects of petroleum installation including but not limited to installing underground storage tanks, fuel piping (fiberglass & flex pipe), all pipe fittings, etc. to complete a full fuel installation or remodel
  • Operate small equipment, such as a skid steer loader
  • Cut and thread steel pipe and assist in the fitting and installation of underground and above-ground tanks.
  • Assist the foreman with shooting grades, and documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site per the foreman’s direction.
  • Ensure all signs and safety barricades and devices are in place.
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including the usage of proper personal protective equipment for the task being performed.
  • Ensure all tools are accounted for, cleaned, and organized on the truck or job trailer.
  • Keep the job inventory accurate.
  • Travel to job sites Mon-Fri. Per Diem compensation and travel expenses paid by company.

 

Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a clear MVR
  • Must be able to bend, lift, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, carry, ability to lift 60 lbs independently, stand and walk for 90% of the workday
  • Self-motivated – eager to learn our industry
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to read a blueprint (preferred, not required)
  • Basic understanding of taking measurements, math, and mechanical skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
